We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. from the US Declaration of Independence.
So our government guarantess everyone the "right" to pursue happiness.

interesting question.... However I believe that in the original context "happiness" referred to prosperity rather than general fulfillment.

What is the difference between happiness and Joy? We are told we can have a "full joy", but is that what the Founder's meant?

ReplyDeleteThe author of this site claims that the way to happiness is simply following a common sense moral code. This code boils down to the teachings of Jesus with the exception of any reference to God.

Can following Jesus' teachings, but not acknowledging him as Lord and Savior lead to fullfillment? Why or Why Not?
