- Our waitress asked us if we wanted more chips 4 times before she actually brought us more.
- We were constantly waiting for her to bring us more to drink.
- My sister's guacamole had a hair in it.
- My uncle didn't get all of his order.
- I had to go and track her down to get a to box
- and our ticket
What is the appropriate response in this situation?
Do I tip? If so, how much?
Do I talk to the waitress about what went wrong?
Do I talk to the manager about the service?
and If I could ask a cliche question, What would Jesus do?
Remember, she has a soul. A soul that needs Jesus. I am sure that Jesus would always be gracious in the face of poor service.
ReplyDeleteDon't we give him poor service every day?

Totally agree Matt. My service in the Kingdom is behond poor. A good friend told me once that he tips more for poor service...you never know the full of someone's story and what kind of day they have had...only God knows the full of it. Being the church should produce a grace infection of healing, forgiveness, joy, and freedom.
ReplyDeleteWow. A bigger tip for bad service? Seems too much like grace for me. A waiter or waitress should get what they deserve, right? Justice?
ReplyDeletebehond = a hybrid of behind and beyond
ReplyDeleteok...not really
so behond = the now, this moment. where behind meets meyond?
